Data Entry Schedule for 2024-2025 Performance Data Reporting
COUNTDOWN: 31 (business) days until the closing of Data Entry Window 1 for ASP Reporting.
The 2024-2025 reporting schedule consists of the following 21APR Data Entry Window Open/Close Dates:

Reporting on Activities, Staffing, and Participation
August 25, 2025 – November 5, 2025

Data Entry Window 2:
Reporting on Outcomes and Certification
November 6, 2025 - March 25, 2026
System Updates for 2024-2025 Performance Data Reporting
The following system updates have been made for the current reporting cycle:
→ Participation
- The ‘Not Reported in Male or Female’ category has been removed from the Sex Table on the Participation page.
- Users will now enter the total number of participants for the following categories: ‘Male’, ‘Female’, and ‘Data not provided’.
→ Outcomes
- The ‘No Data to Report’ checkbox has been removed from each Program Performance Outcome (PPO) table on the Outcomes page.
- If a center has missing data for an Outcomes measure, users should enter “0” values in the outcomes table and provide an explanation in the narrative box provided.
System Updates for 2025-2026 Performance Data Reporting
The following change will take place during the 2026-2027 reporting cycle when users are entering 2025-2026 performance data.
→ All States will report SUMMER and SCHOOL YEAR data. SEAs will not have the option to select the ALL YEAR reporting designation during the SEA Set-Up Window.
IMPORTANT! CURRENT DATA COLLECTION: All States must collect data for 2025 Summer programming and 2025-2026 School Year programming for data entry in the 21APR system for the 2026-2027 reporting cycle.
Contact the 21APR Help Desk if you need assistance with making this transition from ALL YEAR reporting to SUMMER and SCHOOL YEAR reporting.
NEW INFORMATION! Guidance on Activity Categories
Changes to the Activity categories will not go into effect until next year. This means:
→ Activities data will need to be COLLECTED for 2026 Summer programming and 2026-2027 School Year programming with the inclusion of the following updated Activity Categories:
- Academic Enrichment will no longer be a singular category, but will be broken down into 3 separate sub-categories:
- Academic Enrichment – Accelerated Learning
- Academic Enrichment – Mentoring Program
- Academic Enrichment – Remedial Education or Tutoring Services
- Financial Literacy will be added as a new category
→ Data collected for these updated Activity categories will be ENTERED into the 21APR system during the 2027-2028 reporting cycle (when 2026-2027 performance data is being entered).
States need to update their data processes now in preparation for these changes!
High-Quality and Valid Data
The expectation for data reporting in 21APR is for all States to report high-quality and valid data. This means 21APR data is on-time, accurate, complete, and correct. Valid data are achieved through high-quality data processes. The Department is committed to working with SEAs in their continuous improvement processes to ensure high-quality and valid data be entered in 21APR during each data entry window.

There are numerous Support materials in 21APR to assist you with data entry and reporting. Go to https://21apr.ed.gov/support to access 21APR Quick Guides, Data Guides, Webinar materials, and FAQs.
